Psychotherapy Groups Offered at UHC
Here at Utah Healing Center, we are offering several different psychotherapy groups to enhance the quality of care for our clients! These 12-week groups, focused on mindfulness and distress tolerance, will include: three teen groups (two of which are animal-assisted), one adult group, and one adult yoga group. Each group provides a unique opportunity for clients; we’d love for you to join us.
The teen mindfulness group is unique in the fact that it consists of three different subgroups: canine-assisted, equine-assisted, and regular mindfulness without an animal. These various groups each offer a unique twist to mindfulness and distress tolerance:

About Each Group
In each group, we will be focusing on mindfulness, distress tolerance, coping skills, and self-care. According to the group that the client is assigned to upon intake, the emphasis will be mindfulness and skills for intense and distressing emotions and to develop effective behaviors and thinking patterns. Clients will learn how to increase their capacity to experience and manage intense and difficult emotions in effective ways. Clients will also learn how to develop creative skills in problem solving and increase their confidence in day to day life. Overall, these groups are an excellent medium for developing skills in managing anxiety, depression, reducing harmful or ineffective behaviors, and reducing stress overall.
Specific times and dates are available dependent upon demand.
Most insurances are accepted; we will bill out of network. Cash pay can be at a discounted rate and we accept payment plans.
