Dialectical Behavior Therapy – DBT                                                                                            

DBT is a treatment for severe and persistent emotional and behavioral difficulties (like: suicide, affective disorders, substance abuse, eating disorders, self-injury).

Through this group we will learn:

  • The nature of emotion
  • Help people change patterns of behavior that are not effective, such as self-harm, suicidal thinking and substance abuse
  • Learn how to increase emotional and cognitive regulation
  • Learn triggers that lead to reactive states
  • Assess which coping skills apply in the sequence of events, thoughts, feelings 

Adolescents (Boys and Girls) DBT Group Therapy

Thursdays 4-5pm

Weekly Group for 10 Sessions starting September 4, 2014

Groups limited to 8 participants each
