Administrative Assistant 

Responsibilities: 

  • Answer and direct in-coming calls in a friendly, professional manner 
  • Greet patients in a timely and friendly manner 
  • Collect co-pays and deductibles  
  • Scan and verify insurance carding and authorizations 
  • Take referrals and schedule patients on the appropriate therapists schedule in a timely manner 
  • Respond to patients’ needs providing timely feedback regarding all scheduling and related issues 
  • Maintain all job files and database systems supporting the process 
  • Provide oversight of all patient files and contract requirements 
  • Other duties as assigned 
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and maintain constructive working relationships 
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with management, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the Company 
  • Basic skills in 10-key calculator, computer software and data entry 
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time in a productive manner 
  • Ability to follow and execute detailed instructions 
  • Ability to perform work involving written and numeric data and to make arithmetic calculations rapidly and accurately 
  • Ability to function effectively under heavy workload during peak periods and to meet strict deadlines on a continuing basis 
  • Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook

Mental Health Billing Specialist 

4 Healing Center is an innovative, rapidly growing outpatient mental health center specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. Located in Murray, Utah we offer a homey, relaxing atmosphere and provide effective, compassionate, and child-friendly interventions for our clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Understands and adheres to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures (including HIPAA and compliance requirements)
•Complies with applicable laws and regulations
•Knowledge of healthcare billing and collections practices
•Obtains authorization and qualification documentation
•Processes new claims, corrected claims, and appeals. Responds to denials, questions, and resolves issues in a timely manner to ensure patient and employee satisfaction
•Collects co-pays and deductible amounts by calling clients
•Conducts insurance verification and eligibility for services
•Prepares complete and accurate files for Billing Department
•Provides information by answering questions regarding payments and eligibility
•Collaborates with other internal departments as well as external parties as appropriate to reach a resolution on outstanding debt being owed
•Maintains accuracy and quality control throughout patient contact and data input
•Assists front office staff with inbound and outbound phone calls, receiving faxes, collecting patient information, data entry into software system, and processing paperwork
•Develops and maintains a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance regulations
•Develops and maintains working knowledgeof current services offered by the company and all applicable regulations
•Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership of duties and promoting a caring and supportive environment consistent with our mission
•Practices safe work habits, ensuring a safe work environment
•Provides technical assistance as required
•Provides thorough review and Quality Assurance for medical necessity and documentation requirements of payors and regulatory bodies
•Able to utilize AdvancedMD PM/EHR software(scheduling, clearing house billing, Provider Connect, End of Day, Denials, Appeals, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
•Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Information Technology, Communication, Business, Social Science, Accounting, or related field
•One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment
•Strong customer service background
•Information Technology (IT), including coding skills, preferred.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
•Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written, with providers, employees,and patients to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
•Helpful, knowledgeable and polite while maintaining a positive attitude
•Interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of communication mediums
•Knowledge of insurance policies and requirements
•Knowledge of mental health or medical billing practices and reimbursement
•Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information

•Read and successfully interpret written directions and/or instructions in English

Equine Assisted Psychotherapist

Utah Healing Center is hiring three part time and one full time clinical staff.  We are looking for Clinical Social Worker (CSW), Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist for our Outpatient Murray clinic that serves children, adolescents, and adults. Utah Healing Center and Animals 4 Healing are hiring

Grant Writer/Fundraiser Independent Contractor

The Animals 4 Healing (A4H) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to assisting individuals in vulnerable communities to achieve balance through the mutually beneficial bond between animals, relationships, and nature.

Our mission is to help children, adolescents, adults, and families learn to achieve balance through connecting their body, mind, heart, and spirit through the mutually beneficial bond with animals, relationships, and nature with free outpatient mental health therapy.

Many people living in impoverished communities lack opportunities for enjoyment and expression in their mental health treatment. Our programs serve as expressive and experiential outlets that enable people not just to enjoy themselves, but to feel fulfilled and stay healthy. Studies repeatedly find that animal-assisted therapy are beneficial to brain development, as well as positive physical and mental health.

A4H has successfully operated animal-assisted therapy programs in Salt Lake County and Davis County.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Grant Writer/Fundraiser is responsible for writing proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects and for submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing grant funded projects. Ability to plan and execute fundraising activities and events.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources.
  • Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants.
  • Work with Development Team to gather information necessary to report to corporate/foundation funders on current grant programs.
  • Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors.
  • Provide stewardship to current donors, including work with Grants & Research Manager to provide regular written updates (newsletters etc.) to corporate and foundation donors.
  • Understanding of institutional history and programs.
  • Make appointments for Executive Director with foundation officers and other prospects
  • Maintain current records in database and in paper files, including grant tracking and reporting.
  • Track statistics relevant to development and provide department with written materials necessary for donor stewardship (visitor number and diversity, educational program attendance, etc).
  • Work with Grants & Research Manager to provide development input for all written institutional materials (including Annual Report, Member magazine).
  • Assist with fundraising projects
  • Plan and execute fundraising events
  • Assist with creating and maintain website

REQUIREMENTS
